Here are three traits that a great SEO firm will have.
1. Rapid response time. While they may be booked for a while, a team that responds to your questions in a timely manner is likely going to do a good job for you. Keep in mind that they will have work hours, but if they respond to you within two work days, you can rest assured that their customer service is good and you will be treated well.
2. Multiple services. Good search engine optimization companies offer not only a site makeover, but other methods of improving your search engine ranking. Look for a firm that will help you with blog writing, linkbuilding and article writing. This means you get everything in one place and don’t need to worry about hiring your own writers and submitting articles to directories, etc. It will all be taken care of for you.
3. Experience. You definitely want a company with experience under their belt. Does that mean you should look for an SEO firm that has been around for 5 years? Not necessarily. It does mean, however, that you need to make sure that the people who run it have been in the business for a while and understand just what is needed. They should have a finger on the pulse of the search engines, knowing what the best methods of optimizing your site are and be able to implement those rapidly.
